Virtel is published by SysperTec Communication, an employee-owned independent software publisher that has over 20 years of experience with on-the-fly protocol conversion between mainframe and heterogeneous servers and terminals.
SysperTec Communication's products are designed with a focus on simplicity, flexibility, strength, performance, cost reduction, and increased user comfort. They include two product lines:
- Synapse (website in french only) is a line of automated access processors including X25 and IP servers.
- Virtel is a line of communication gateways for the Web, ASCII/X25, electronic banking, and networks.
SysperTec Communication has licensed over 300 products since 1986 in banking (66%), service (11%), insurance (7%), government (6%), manufacturing (6%), and distribution (4%).
Years of experience with communication software products including Minitel-based solutions went into developing Virtel, which is a second generation Web-enabling solution for legacy applications like CICS and IMS.
